Exceeds expectations, totally satisfied. Ordered 220V 150W unit, delivered quickly, exactly as described. I use with US power from a clothes dryer outlet, about 250V. 150W? No, uses 130W at 250V. With knob set full on (eleven!), takes ten minutes to make a pot of 60/40 solder to become molten. Then set to seven to maintain. The knob has no temperature feedback, it’s basically a lamp dimmer. Pay attention! I like it, it’s great, I bought the one with the smallest pot for least amount of solder needed. I put about 1/3 Lb of solder in, takes the pot to about 3/4 full. I use it for tinning wire. Dip in flux, then into solder pot. Ground wire is actually connected to chassis, nice surprise! Highest recommendation.

I turned it on and it took a long time to heat up and I’m skeptical that it will actually reach 550C, but to be fair I haven’t tested it with a thermometer yet. My mistake was ordering a 220v EU device when I’m in US with 110v, so I have to use an adapter converter, however. The metal cup is smooth and feels like good quality.

Very Impressed, It is for my personal use and not my shop, points to note: 1. First time use, operate in a well ventilated room as it will burn off residue from melting pot. 2. bottom and sides can get really hot.
